The original Schweizer1-26 prototype sailplane no 001 flew first in 1954. Our 1-26 sailplane is a 1:27 sport scale profile replica designed for display only. Our 1-26 balsa wood kit is very easy to assemble. It features a see through canopy and light paper decorations. A plywood table display stand with see through aircraft holders is included in the kit. Optional: the sailplane can easily be decorated with markers such as Sharpies.
Our AeroRacers1-26 can be built to represent the plane in “clean” flight mode or in “dirty” landing mode with the air brakes deployed.
