The new AeroRacers “Stretch” rubber band racer is the perfect introduction to STEM product. This educational racer is designed for indoor use. It will run on virtually any surface. The power unit consists of a rubber band coupled with string. Students learn about the advantages of using a pulley to redirect a force.
Friction on the driving wheels can be varied for better acceleration and/or longer distance runs. Power can be adjusted as well.
The racer can easily be decorated with markers. Students can design a body for their racer out of card stock paper (not included and not shown).
Students can optimize their STRETCH racers for long distance competitions, side by side drag racing and the ever popular mass launches.
All parts are pre-cut.

The chassis is designed to assemble in a very short time without glue. Glue (white glue or similar) is required to glue the rear wheels and the string loop holder in place.
We recommend you have a pair of scissors handy to cut the string to the desired length.
Our STRETCH racer comes with all the parts needed for assembly:
laser cut plywood chassis parts, wood wheels with O-rings, wooden axles, pulley, plastic axle tubing as well as rubber string and kite string. Instructions are included.
