Description

The mid-wing Bergfalke (mountain hawk) is a sleek looking, great flying and easy to build sailplane kit. It is designed after the 1951 Bergfalke glider made by the Scheibe company in Germany. The Bergfalke was a very popular 2 seat glider used to train new glider pilots all over the world.

The AeroRacers 4F Bergfalke can be launched in smaller spaces such as school athletic fields with the Bronze Short Field High Start which is included in the kit.  The Bronze Launch-It high start available separately can propel the Bergfalke to altitudes over 150 ft for longer flights. Our Bergfalke is very easy to build, super sturdy and a fantastic flyer.

Our 4F Bergfalke:

• Is equipped with the AeroRacers Fun Protection System, allowing it to survive hard landings without damage.
• Features our Flex Fuse turning system, which helps the glider ascend straight and glide back down in a controlled spiral, keeping it near the launch zone.
• Features an adjustable ballast system for easy center-of-gravity tuning to optimize glide performance.
• Sports our Rapid Wing Joining system which allows the wing panels to assemble and disassemble for easy storage in seconds
• Sports Jedelsky-style all wood wings which provide outstanding strength and flight performance with no covering required.

There is no knife required to build your sailplane. All balsa and plywood parts are pre-cut which makes for an easy, quick build up. All necessary parts to complete your Bergfalke are included in the kit.

Assembling the Bergfalke requires only wood glue and sandpaper.

The Berfalke also makes for a great display piece on your desk or wall with the display stand available separately.
