Indoor competition winner!

Description

The AeroHawk prototype won the California State Science Olympiad Competition in 1998, and placed 5th at Nationals after hitting the basketball hoops in both flights. Best recorded flight time so far is 2 minutes and 20 seconds in a standard high school gymnasium.

It is an indoor flyer only. It can be hand-launched or will take off from the ground. It should be built with super glue and prior building experience is necessary. The AeroHawk is the perfect step-up from the Daredevil or the Olympia.

All parts are pre-cut to size. The wing ribs are cut by laser for accuracy.

The kit contains all the necessary wood sticks to build the aircraft: motor stick, tail boom, propeller assembly, laser-cut ribs, rubber motor, dihedral gauges, competition covering material, landing gear and wheels. Detailed instructions and plans guide the student through the build-up. Competition building and flying instructions are included as well as tips on how to prepare the AeroHawk to be an overall winner.

An absolute must for every serious competitor is our new 16:1 mechanical winder (order #351C), rubber lube (order #352) and spare rubber string.
