A “STEM Approach to Glider Flight” is designed for students who want to explore and understand how gliders fly. The manual is designed to be used in conjunction with the AeroRacers Mistral glider kit. The 13 page turn-key manual contains 2 individual lesson plans, scientific sections with many illustrations on glider flight and thermals. Math is used quite regularly during the flight test phase. Includes 1 Mistral Glider.

Students will learn the basic scientific principles of glider flight and they will use math to calculate the glide ratio of their glider. The manual links general glider science to the aircraft the student is building and flying.

This is an absolute must for the home school STEM student. It will also make life very easy for any STEM classroom instructor. A must for STEM summer programs.

Prerequisite: We recommend that younger students have completed the STEM Powered Flight manual. The student should have built and flown the AeroRacers AF-1 Lightning prior to starting the Glider program.
Grades: 4 and up
